Regeneration

REGENERATION
We believe that in order to be saved lost sinners must be regenerated or born again; that regeneration is a re-creative act, far beyond comprehension, wrought in the believer’s heart by the direct personal ministry of the Holy Spirit; that it is instantaneous, miraculous, and no evolutionary or cultural; that it embraces the divine acts of cleansing the heart from all inward sins and of pardoning the soul of all outward guilt, in connection with the work of begetting a new creature in Christ Jesus; that the dead sinner is made to live through the new birth, becoming thereby a regenerated spirit, possessing eternal life, the gift of God; that the new birth comes
after the Holy Spirit secures voluntary belief in the gospel; that it is the actual impartation of the divine life, not a mere transformation of the human life.

Romans 7:7-11
Your spirit within you was at one point in time alive. Once you became aware of right and wrong and chose to do wrong the spirit within you died and is in need of being born again or regenerated.

Ephesians 2:1-5
Even though your outward flesh is alive you are dead inside outside of being born again by the Spirit of God and your sins are upon you. It is by the extended grace of God through the shed blood of Jesus you may receive the gift of eternal life. Once you have appropriated God’s forgiveness you become “quickened” which is to say you are made alive again. (Romans 6:23)

John.1:1-13
The Creator of the universe came to earth and lived a sinless life. He paid the debt made by our sins and fulfilled the penalty for our sins. Through His atoning death and resurrection we now have the ability to be made alive again and become sons of God.

John 3:3-7
The first or natural birth was one of water. Having been encased in a cocoon of water while the body developed and our bodies being composed of mostly water. The Holy Spirit performs an internal operation on the believer and brings to life that which is dead.

2 Corinthians 5:14-17
That which is born of the Spirit is made in the image of Jesus Christ. As we begin to grow spiritually the person of Jesus Christ becomes manifested by our actions and living.
(1 Corinthians 15:45-49)

Titus 3:5-7
The Holy Spirit cleanses us internally from our sins and brings to life again the spirit within us.

Colossians 2:11-13
We are internally circumcised having our soul and spirit internally separated from the flesh. Our sins now forgiven and the price paid we have obtained eternal life.
